WARRANTY & CLAIMS

Bureviy strictly controls the manufacturing and assembly quality of its products before transferring them to the customer. Warranty conditions for BLDC motors, OEM components, and parts manufactured according to customer documentation are determined in accordance with the agreed technical requirements, specifications, and the terms of the specific order.

WARRANTY OBLIGATIONS

Bureviy is responsible for manufacturing defects, material defects, and non-compliance with the agreed technical requirements, provided that such deficiencies originated on the manufacturer's side and are confirmed by technical inspection.

For serial products and custom OEM projects, the warranty period, permissible operating modes, technical parameters, and other warranty conditions may be established separately in the contract, specification, or technical assignment.

COVERED WARRANTY CASES

A warranty case may be recognized if the defect existed at the time of product transfer to the customer or arose as a result of a violation of manufacturing technology, a material defect, an assembly error, or another cause falling under the manufacturer's responsibility.

  • A mechanical or manufacturing defect discovered prior to product operation.
  • Non-compliance of geometric dimensions or functional parameters with the agreed blueprint, specification, or technical assignment.
  • Assembly defects caused by the manufacturer.
  • Winding insulation failure or a short circuit, if a manufacturing defect is confirmed as the cause.
  • Detachment or displacement of magnets, if it is established that the cause is a manufacturing defect or a violation of fixation technology.
  • Factory rotor imbalance, if the actual parameters exceed the agreed permissible tolerances.

DEFECT DETECTION PRIOR TO OPERATION

If, upon receipt or initial inspection, the customer discovers a mechanical damage, geometric non-compliance, missing components, or another obvious defect, it is highly recommended to document the condition of the product and notify Bureviy before commencing its operation.

In the event of a dispute, the product may be transferred for technical inspection. Based on the inspection and defectology results, the nature of the defect and its root cause will be determined.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

A brushless motor is part of a larger propulsion system. Therefore, its reliability depends not only on the product itself, but also on the supply voltage, propeller, ESC, payload, temperature regime, mounting, and other system parameters.

Warranty obligations apply only if the product is operated in accordance with the agreed technical parameters and recommendations for the specific configuration.

If damage occurs due to operating conditions that do not comply with the agreed technical parameters, such a case is not considered a warranty event.

NON-WARRANTY CASES

Non-warranty cases include damage caused by external impact, improper installation, violation of operating conditions, or unauthorized intervention in the product's design.

  • Mechanical damage resulting from a drop, impact, crash, or other external forces.
  • Operation at voltage, current, or power levels exceeding the agreed or permissible limits for the specific configuration.
  • Use of a propeller, payload, or operating mode that does not match the agreed motor parameters.
  • Thermal damage to the winding, insulation, or other components caused by exceeding the permissible operating temperature.
  • Damage caused by improper ESC connection or setup, power supply violations, or other errors in the power system.
  • Damage due to improper installation or mounting of the motor.
  • Ingress of sand, abrasives, aggressive liquids, or moisture into the motor, if the appropriate protection rating was not specified for the product.
  • Unauthorized disassembly, repair, bearing replacement, rewinding, or any other structural intervention without prior approval from Bureviy.
  • Modification of the product or its use for purposes other than intended, resulting in damage.

TECHNICAL DIAGNOSTICS

If the cause of the malfunction cannot be determined via external visual inspection, the product may be transferred to Bureviy for technical diagnostics and defectology.

During the inspection, the condition of components, nature of the damage, bench test results, geometry, assembly compliance, and operating conditions will be analyzed.

For motors, required supplementary materials may include flight logs and ESC data (voltage, current, power, temperature, RPM, etc.). This data is essential to establish the root cause of the failure and differentiate a manufacturing defect from damage caused by operating modes.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE

In the event of a malfunction or non-compliance, the customer must notify Bureviy and provide available information regarding the product and the nature of the issue.

For initial analysis, the following may be required:

  • Product code or serial number;
  • Description of the detected problem;
  • Photos or videos showing the condition of the product;
  • Information about operating conditions;
  • Flight logs or ESC data, if available;
  • Any other technical information related to the specific case.

If physical diagnostics are required to establish the cause, the procedure for transferring the product will be agreed upon with Bureviy separately.

POST-INSPECTION RESOLUTION

If the technical inspection confirms a manufacturing defect or non-compliance with agreed technical requirements, Bureviy will determine the appropriate method to resolve the issue according to the terms of the specific order.

Depending on the nature of the defect and warranty conditions, this may involve repair, replacement of the defective component or product, remanufacturing of the part, or another mutually agreed-upon solution.

If it is established that the damage resulted from mechanical impact, improper installation, exceeding permissible parameters, inappropriate load, unauthorized intervention, or other operating conditions outside the manufacturer's responsibility, the case will not be considered a warranty event.

If the provided materials do not allow for a reliable determination of the cause, a final conclusion will be drawn only after a physical technical diagnosis of the product.

CUSTOM OEM PROJECTS

For motors, components, and other products manufactured according to customer documentation, warranty conditions may vary depending on the product design, materials used, manufacturing technology, and agreed operating modes.

Specific requirements for quality control, tolerances, testing, warranty periods, and claims procedures are fixed in the contract, technical assignment, or specification of the respective project.

IMPORTANT

Bureviy's warranty obligations cover manufacturing defects and non-compliance with agreed technical requirements within the terms of a specific order. They do not cover damage caused by operating conditions, external impact, or other factors outside the manufacturer's area of responsibility.
