BRUSHLESS MOTOR COMPONENTS FOR UAVS
Contract manufacturing (OEM) of parts for heavy-lift multirotors, tactical bombers, and fixed-wing UAVs. High-precision CNC milling, dynamic balancing, and custom stator winding. We manufacture industrial-grade components that provide uncompromising reliability under extreme combat conditions.
ROTOR COVER
The rotor cover is a structural component of a brushless motor that forms part of a rigid and lightweight rotating assembly. For UAV propulsion systems, the part is manufactured through precision CNC milling from high-strength, lightweight aluminum alloys, followed by the application of a wear-resistant anodized coating.
The optimized geometry of the cover ensures high rigidity at a minimal weight. The teeth located between the rotor magnets form additional mechanical stops that limit the tangential displacement of the magnets during operation. Combined with adhesive fixation, they increase the reliability of the magnetic system's retention. Simultaneously, this geometry creates additional stiffening ribs for the rotor assembly.
Ventilation openings facilitate airflow through the internal volume of the motor and the stator area, improving heat dissipation during high-load operation.
ROTOR BELL
The rotor bell acts as the outer magnetic yoke of a brushless motor, forming a closed path for the magnetic flux and ensuring efficient interaction between the rotor's magnetic system and the stator. The part is manufactured from steel using precision turning and CNC milling.
We manufacture the solid metal bell without pre-installed magnets. The high precision machining of the inner surface ensures accurate magnet positioning and stability of the rotor assembly geometry, which is a crucial condition for forming a uniform working air gap during the final assembly of the brushless motor.
To protect the steel part from oxidation and corrosion, the bell undergoes chemical preparation and galvanic zinc plating. The protective coating increases the corrosion resistance of the surface and helps maintain the part's operational properties when the propulsion system is used in humid or harsh environments.
ROTOR SHAFT
The rotor shaft is the central element of the brushless motor's mechanical system, ensuring torque transmission and precise positioning of the rotating assembly relative to the stator. The geometry and manufacturing precision of the shaft directly affect the rotor's coaxiality, rotational stability, and the overall reliability of the motor at high RPMs.
The part is manufactured using precision turning, followed by the machining of functional surfaces and threaded sections. The shaft design features an external thread on one side and an internal thread on the other to ensure a reliable mechanical connection with the corresponding components of the rotor assembly. The precision of the seating surfaces guarantees the correct installation of the shaft in the bearing assembly.
The design is optimized for operation under the radial and axial loads that occur during the operation of a brushless motor. Strict control over geometry, coaxiality, and the surface finish of functional areas is an essential condition for minimizing vibrations and ensuring the stable operation of the propulsion system.
STATOR
The stator is the stationary element of a brushless motor and the foundation for the phase windings that create the rotating magnetic field. The stator core is manufactured from a laminated stack of thin electrical steel sheets. This layered structure reduces eddy current losses, which is especially important for the efficient operation of the motor at high RPMs.
We supply stators as ready-to-use OEM components without winding, fully prepared for subsequent manual or serial winding. After pressing the lamination stack, a special insulating coating is applied to the core surface and baked at approximately 220 °C. This durable dielectric layer reliably insulates the metal from the winding wire. The precise geometry of the teeth and slots ensures correct wire placement and establishes the foundation for achieving the required motor characteristics (KV).
The manufacturing precision and concentricity of the stator are crucial for its correct positioning relative to the rotor assembly and the formation of a uniform air gap. The part can be supplied as a standalone component or used as a base for subsequent custom winding to meet specific requirements.
STATOR BASE
The stator base is the primary load-bearing structural element of a brushless motor, ensuring the precise positioning of the rotor and bearing assembly components, as well as the mechanical mounting of the motor to the UAV structure. The part is manufactured using precision CNC milling from an aluminum alloy, followed by a protective anodized coating.
The central section of the base forms the seating area for the bearing assembly and ensures rigid fixation of the stator. The high-precision machining of these seating surfaces is essential for the correct coaxiality of the rotating elements, motor stability, and minimization of vibrations at high RPMs. The bottom plane of the base is equipped with threaded holes for reliable mounting of the motor to the drone arm or other structural elements of the unmanned platform.
In addition to its load-bearing function, the stator base participates in heat dissipation from the motor. The metal structure transfers a portion of the heat from the stator to the housing and dissipates it into the environment. When mounted on the frame, some thermal energy can also be transferred to the platform structure. This helps maintain a stable temperature regime for the stator, windings, and bearing assembly during prolonged high-load operation.
